BIOGRAPHY
RUS McCOY (Playwright, lyricist, composer)
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California and moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2009.
In the 1990’s Rus recorded five independent CDs: “ACE” (1992), “The Gravity Bell” (1995), “Hollywood for Beginners” (1996), “Schoolboy in Disguise” (1997) and “Cowboys and Idioms” (1999). He performed in various LGBTQ+ festivals across the country as well as the Los Angeles coffeehouse circuit. In 2000, Rus turned his creative energies towards musical theater.
Rus McCoy has also diversified his talents into the genres of country rock (The Petty Criminals), club music (SU&D) and musical theatre.
